First Week
First Day
in Iloilo City
My arrival
in Iloilo city was on January 22nd, 2018. It was at Iloilo
International Airport. Me and my friend, Jeng Anggi Priyatni, from the same
university, Tanjungpura University, were placed in the same university, Iloilo
Science and Technology University. At the airport, there were about six people
who picked us up, one of them is the Dean of College Education, Dr. John Eric
Janueza, our coordinator, Mrs. Shailani, and the rest of them are the staff.
Right after
we were picked up, they took us to a restaurant to serve us lunch. The dinner
menus were so delicious. They knew that we cannot eat pork, so they only served
us with food without pork.
We stayed
in ISAT U hotel that is called HRT hotel or Hotel and Restaurant Technology
Department. This hotel is also the laboratory hotel for students to do their
practice. I stayed in room 201 with Jeng Anggi Priyatni and another exchange
student from Banjarmasin, South Borneo, Indonesia, Yohana Nenestalia. The facility
and service are really good. They gave us a dining room and we also can cook
there. Our coordinator gave us a rice cooker to cook our food, because we
cannot have stove inside. Actually, we got two rice cookers; the other one was
given by Dr. Nemia H. Mabaquiao, the Director for National and International
Affairs. We were welcomed with a very warm welcome and great hospitality by the
people of ISAT U.
This is the room where I lived in for one
month.
