GUIMARAS


I also visited Guimaras. It is an island, not way to far from Iloilo. I visited Guimaras with some of my friends from ISAT U and with my fellows exchange students, Jeng Anggi, Yohana and Tuttaphong, a boy from Thailand.


In Guimaras, we went to a very beautiful beach called Raymen Beach Resort. The sand is white, the water is so clean. On the edge, the water seems green, but far from the edge, the water is blue. It is such a very beautiful beach. People call it the mini version of Boracay. Boracay is a beach with white sand like Raymen in Guimaras. It is really popular which is listed in world’s top beaches.

Unfortunately, when me and my friends visited the beach in Guimaras, it was raining so heavy.  Even so, we still enjoyed playing on the beach because the scenery is really beautiful. I didn’t swim there, but all of my friends jumped into the water. We had so much fun. I want to thank to all of my friends for taking me to this beautiful beach. 


We also enjoyed eating Mango Pizza. It is a delicacy from Guimaras. It is a pizza with sweet mango as the topping and it was really delicious. This was my first time tasting pizza with sweet fruit and it was unexpectedly delicious. This could be the food that I would really miss when leaving this country.

Teaching Practice Activities Part III On the fourth week, I was permitted to teach grade 8 and 10 students. Grade 8 is under Mrs. Hilda D. Darocca. Grade 10 is under Mrs. Jieza J. Napone. Iloilo Science and Technology University My name is Uswatun Hasanah, from Tanjungpura University, Pontianak, West Borneo, Indonesia. The school that received me is Iloilo Science and Technology University in Iloilo city, Philippine. This university is shortly called ISAT U which has a vision as a leading science and technology university in Southeast Asia by 2030. The president of this university is Dr. Raul F. Iloilo Science and Technology University Laboratory School On previous post, I mentioned that ISAT U has its own laboratory school started from grade 7 up to 12. During my teaching practice in ISAT U laboratory school, I was teaching students of grade 7, 8, 9 and 10. I did not have chance to teach students of grade 11 and 12. Majority of my time having contact hour is with 7 grade students. Grade 7 is divided into two sections, Sampaguita and Ilang-ilang. Sampaguita and Ilang-ilang are the names of flower in Philippine, and based on the information that I got, Sampaguita is the national flower of Philippine. Meanwhile, grade 8 is divided into two sections also, they are Molave and Narra. Narra is the national tree of Philippine. Grade 9 is also divided into two sections, Falcon and Eagle.
